Default Ford Tempo no power

Just replaced the cylinder head on my tempo because there was a crack and it was letting water into the #2 piston.

idles fine util you try to drive it... then there is no power(wont go when you lay on the gas), it idles really low in gear... and after about 1/2 a mile... it dies. Doesn't over heat or nothing, but if you let it sit for about 10 min... it will start up with no problems.... but the minute you try to drive it... all that happens over again. I definately need help on this... its gonna drive me crazy and stop buying Fords haha. Any help would make my day. Thank you.

Did this happen rite away , As soon as you replaced the head ??? or where u able to drive it for bit ????? , did u do the work your self ?? Or was it done byshop ???the possibly are quite a few ,, Timing could be off ,,, fuel system problem , possibly a sensor not hooked up ? , I saw where a guy left the vac. hose off the MAP sensor it would idle , Till you gave it the gas an it would fall flat on its face. Did you put a thermostat back in the engine ?? I've seen them do all kinds of funky stuff with the thermostat removed, Are u able to pull any codes ??
