Default gas pedal vibration

I just bought a 2004 Taurus SE, with a 3.0L engine. There is a problem with a droning/oscillating vibration in the gas pedal while driving. The pedal does not vibrate when the it is pressed while the car is in park. Also, the vibration does still occur when the car is coasting in neutral. Because of these points, I am led to believe that it is not caused by engine vibration. The car has been in to the dealership for servicing twice, and both times there was no improvement. The first time, they performed a TSB which called for a different bracket behind the pedal to alter the path of the pedal cable. The second time, they replaced wheel bearings.

If anyone else has experienced this problem please let me know what was done to fix it. Or if you have any advice, that would be appreciated too. Thanks in advance.

since it is still under the factory warranty, I would keep taking it back to the dealership until they find and fix it. Especially if Ford has already issued a TSB for it, they must be getting a lot of complaints about it from other owners. Since it doesn't vibrate while in park but does vibrate in nuetral while rolling down the road, it must be coming from something in the drivetrain of the car IMO. Try to get the service writer or mechanic at the Ford dealer to take the car out for a road test with you along so they can better diagnose where it might be coming from.

Its only the gas pedal that oscillates? the engine isn't rev'ing up and down?

I have the same problem with my 2004 Mustang GT. I've had it in several times and they have no ideas for me. Updated my computer and said that should solve the problem. NOT! What gets me is we cannot be the only people having this problem and different model cars as well. Seems like Ford needs to get on the ball and check with each other for the cures. Did you find out anything more or know what direction to go in?
