Default Heather Hose

I have a heater hose that goes into the firewall that needs to be replaced. I see no clamp. How do I remove it? Just pull it out?

Thank you.

Alot of heater hose connections are 'quick release' couplings.. They require a release tool to seperate the fitting.. What vehicle and model year are you working on?

They can either be the newer, "quick release" style as mentioned above...or on some vehicles, the clamps are actually INSIDE the firewall, and you need to remove the heater box assembly (at least partially, anyway) to get to them. 1974 Mustangs were like that, until Ford changed the design a bit to make the hose clamps accessable from under the hood like most other vehicles!
