Default Help

I have a 2004 E250 with an interior light problem. The lights turn off and on while driving and I can hear what sounds like a relay clicking under the dash. The lights have also stayed on after the van was shut off and all door switches have been checked and seem fine. While driving I can hear the relay click when stopping and turning. I assume its a faulty switch or relay that contols it all. Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help you with the lights turning on and off and the clicking sound, but as far as the lights staying on after you shut off the van, do you have any kids? Did they play with the override switches if any, usually in the ceiling. This happnened in our SUV the lights would stay on, and there was a switch next to the back seat (go figure) that was overriding the switches in the doors). Than can drain your battery needless to say. I cought it by pulling out the fuse so that I could turn off the dome lights while at work.

Hope that helps some what

Default Sjb

Try taking a look at the SJB. Make sure there arent any connectors not plugged in all the way. Maybe unplug them all one by one and re connect them. I know that when the SJB is not functioning properly it WILL cause the interior lights to flash non stop. If your SJB is faulty you will need to take it to a dealer and have it replaced, cant just buy a used one because they are vehicle specific and need to be flashed for that particular vehicle. The SJB or GEM module is the fuse box inside the vehicle usually under the dash. Make sure there are no blown fuses and all connectors are plugged in and seated properly.
