i have a 98 taurus sho that randomly will not idle. i can keep it running using my foot for as long as i like. it has happened about 4 times in 2 months. if i let the car sit and come back after a period of timeit cranks and idles fine (so far this has been the fix) .i believe it is a sticking sensor or relay or a wireto the relay or sensorthat isexposed andgrounding out from being burned, pinched, etc.what makes thishard is that the problem has nosymptoms or regularity at all.
