Hey everyone. I have a question dealing with my 9" I built and put in my jeep and figured you ford guru's could help. We did not know what year housing I had so we had to hunt and find a bearing that fit, problem is I think its wrong. I went to weld on my calipers today and found that the calipers would not go on unless I placed the bracket on the flared part of the axle housing. So look at the pic and tell me what you think. I know the axles are making contact with the locker, but I dont know how far in they are.

 

Try looking int the S&W race cars catalog, they have a description of all the different sizes of 9" housing ends that Ford had & figure out which one you have first
