Default NEED HELP! Wrong firing order...

Hi, I have a '94 F150 that the 5.0 engine locked up in. I bought an engine out of a Mustang (90 model, I think) and swapped all the manifolds and everything and installed it back in my truck. I then realized that my old engine had a different firing order than my current engine. I swapped the plug wires on the dist. to compensate, but I can't get the engine to start. I think the injectors are firing at the wrong time (I didn't mess with the injectors, but since the intake came off my old motor with the different firing order, I assume they may be shooting the gas in at the wrong time now.) Any ideas? Can I swap the wiring on the injectors to make them fire at the right time? (This would involve cutting and splicing wires, as the factory one's aren't long enough.) Can you cut the wires on the fuel injectors without ruining them? Should I just scrap this motor and get the right one? Any help would be greatly apprecciated! Thanks

The Mustangs 5.0L was a High Output version which used the 351W (5.8L) Firing order. I dont know it off the top of m head but look it up and go from there.

If you used the Truck Computer then it is possible that the injectors are firing at the wrong time. If you can get a hold of a 5.0L HO Computer and swap in and see if that fixes the problem. Splicing the old injectors on will do nothing because the computer tells the injectors how to fire.

later,
Dustin
