Default No spark

I am trying to start a '84 Lincoln Mark VII, but am unable to get any spark. It has power to the coil, but no spark coming out. I tried a good coil, also changed the ignition switch. Has anyone got any ideas as to what else might cause this condition? Thanks.

yes or it can also be a killswitch problem and check to make sure that the points are gapped right and all of the other items listed above...has the engine been taken apart at all or the distributor replaced at all becuase it may be off when reinstalled.
