I have a 98 Explorer 2wd that has developed a squeak seemingly from the wheels.

We replaced the brake pads and greased the bearings but that did not take care of the problem. The sound goes away when the brake peddle is depressed even slightly.


I moved in to an apartment complex several months ago with monster speed bumps and that has caused the Explorer to start making noise going over bumps. Could the two be related?

Any advice is appreciated.
