Default Oil in Air Intake?

1999 Ford Contour, ~ 160.000 miles

DOHC, 2.0L, VIN CODE 3

Before 2 weeks ago, I never had a leak under the car. Every oil change, dry undercarriage.

2 weeks ago, I replaced my valve cover gasket since there was some oil leaking there.

Then last week I changed my air filter and noticed oil in the Air Intake. Subsequently, oil started dripping under the car. (rear main seal>) Coincidence? Something with the pressure after replacing the valve cover gasket?

Been using 5x30 Ford semi-synthetic motor oil and changed last week 5x30 Castrol GTX high performace oil and odded the Bar's Leak.

Suggestions please what to check for?

Thanks

Here's a few items to check.

1. A faulty PCV valve.
2. A plugged fresh air intake valve for the PCV valce system.
3. Worn piston rings (Do a warm engine compression test).

Where do I locate the fresh air intake valve for the PCV valve system?
