my explorer feels like the auto 4WD is kickin on and off when im in first and second gear but as soon as i shift into third it stops. It also stops when i put 4WD High on i don't think my clutch is slipping i had one put in over a year ago and have about 20,000miles on it right now any answers??

no its a *** and its either Auto, 4WD High or 4WD Low the light does come on when i have it in either 4WD High or Low but no light comes on for Auto

 

Im not to familiar with this trans but if the auto 4 wheel is automatically controlled see if you can disconnect it.[hr]This will tell you if it is the trans or the electronics.
