Peeling Windows on F150
I have an 88 F150 (Heritage package) project I've started. Passenger and Driver Windows have a plastic coating peeling. I've never seen this before...could be original and part of the safety or could be an old tint or cover. Would appreciate first knowing if that is original but also if safe to remove. How to remove and clean so I can tint in future.
Also I the sliding rear is doing the same but it also seems plastic. Again, wondering how to tell if original to the truck. It feels pretty cheap to be factory but interested to learn all the same!
Thanks

I don't think Ford motot fully tinted windows, except when they tint the upper
3 or 4 inches. Tinting side windows is aftermarket, and if you have a hair dryer handy
you can use it to peel the rest of the film off.. those sliding rear windows
were usually made of plastic, and again just peel off the film...
Remember most state laws if not DOT say that an occupant in the car must be
visiable from the outside. safty for police officers...
