No tool needed. At least not untilI remove the molding, butI think its held in with some screws anyway. LUCKLY.... it magically started working again....so the removal has been put on hold now until it decides to crap out on me again. thanks though. If anyone still knows how to remove trim, let me know just in case.

hey supafly, you do need removal tools to take out the radio.they are u shaped and go into the loittle holes on the face of the radio.as far as the problem you are having withh the radio is as follows:make sure you have an original recorded cd,(cd that isnt recorded by you),make sure all wires are firmly in place, but it definitly sounds like the gyro in the cd player is going out,(common problem with ford cd player radios),count on getting a rebuilt one for your truck.........joey

Audio unit is screw attached to the dash supportbehind the instrument finish panel.. No release tool needed.. Depending on floor shift, or column shift, the instrument finish panel removal is different..
