Reading OBD-2 ECU on a laptop??

Does anybody know of something that will interface an OBD-2 ECU to a laptop??? I saw some a couple of months back, but I didn't bookmark the site and now I can't find it.

do you have the VCM and connectors so that you can read from the data link connector in the vehicle? i believe that you can get it on FMC dealer if you have a password.
