Default removal of transponder

my 1.8 escort 1996 has an embedded transponder in the key to disable the immobiliser. I have just bought an alarm immobiliser and remote start kit. i have been told the factory fit immobiliser needs to be bypassed with some extra kit. Isn't it easier to just remove it. maybe it isn't i wouldn't know but perhaps someone could give me a nudge in the right direction.

Thanks peeps

Default RE: removal of transponder

The computer looks for that transponder. If it isn't there you wouldn't be able to start the car. A theft device.
