Default Spark plug wires

I put a newly rebuilt302V8 in a 1970 Maverick. The motor has 289 heads on it. I was about to order some parts online when I became stumped. Do I order a wire set for 289 or 302? I was leaning toward the 302 to match up to the distributor, but will the plug end fit ok? I was hoping someone with past experience in this could help>?
Thanks

You will be safe to go with the 302 wires (for distributor-cap purposes)...the spark plug end of the wire will fit the spark plug just fine.

Just remember to add a dab of dielectrical greasearound the inside the plug wire boots on both ends and the distributor wire. This will help in eliminating any potential for spark leakage in damp/wet enviroments.
