I have a 2001 escape xlt 4x4 with 70k. Every once in a while you go to start the car it turns over then dies. if you keep your foot on the gas it will stay on but the second you take it off it will die. if you wait an hour or so and try again the car starts right up. It seems to happen one every two - three weeks. I have taken it to a few mechanics and they can not find the problem nor has it happened while in the shop. my mechanic thinks i'm crazy. no dummy light come on and i've hooked up to the computer and still nothing. If any one has had this problem or has a suggestion please let me know
