first of my truck is a:
1989 F150 5.0L EFI 2WD with an AOD trany

Just joined, I have an AOD transmission Pan gasket question.

I'm haveing a brain gap lately.
I think this is a relatively simple question,
When I change the gasket on the transmission pan I am replacing with a rubber gasket.
What's the opinion, do I re-install DRY or do I use some gasket seal on the pan and then install the gasket?
And should I wet the gasket with some oil prior to installing against the trany?
Thoughts??
