I've got a '93 T-bird with 5,250 miles on it. It hasn't been started in over 3 years. The gas tank is more than 1/2 full. I am wondering if there is an additive I can put in the gas, or do I need to drain it. Also if I must drain it, can I undo the fuel line and use the electric fuel pump to drain it, or do I need to syphon it out the filler neck?

No fix for fuel that has most likely "Varnished". I personally would remove the tank to empty it and clean any crud out of it. Inspect the pick-up sock to ensure it's still clean. Reinstall the tank, add 5 gallons of fuel along with injector cleaner and replace the fuel filter. What little old fuel that remains in the line will be no problem then. Then I would run the vehicle until the 5 gallons is almost gone, then fill up the tank with another dose of injector cleaner just to ensure everything fuel related gats a good cleaning.
