Tires on my 2001 X don't last too long. With 5 kids, a dog, and a 35' travel trailer the tread seems to go away pretty quickly.

I'm wondering about replacing the typical tire with something more like those use by commercial trucks as those tires seem to go many, many miles. I understand the side walls will be much stiffer, and that might be a good thing with my trailer, which will affect the ride.

Anybody have any information or opinion about this idea?
