I have a 89 4x4 deisel f250. It runs good just bought it but it only has a 3 speed auotmatic. 60 is about it , is there anything i can do? Is there any problems that I may need go ahead and adress?

 

Do you know what gear ratio the axles are? Too high and you will have a low top speed, but would be able to pull your house without breaking a sweat..

 

MY BROTHER HAS A 89 F-350 DIESEL WITH 3 SPEED AUTOMATIC AND 3:55 GEAR RATIO AND HE CAN CRUISE 65 TO 70 WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM AND STILL HAS GOOD TOWING POWER SO NOT KNOWING WHAT RATIO U HAVE I'M GUESSING IT TO BE ABOUT A 4:10 IF SO I WOULD CHANGE RING AND PINION TO A 3:55 MINE IS A 94 F-350 DIESEL AND AND IT HAD A 4:10 RATIO AND THE REAR END WENT OUT AND I REPLACED IT WITH A 3:55 AND LOVE IT NOW I'VE GOT TO CHANGE THE FRONT TO MATCH
