Transmission identification help....
Hello, I have come across a transmission in a storage building, and I am unable to i.d. it. Looking on line has provided no clues. I do not know if the transmission is a 3, 4, or a 5 speed, or the application for it. The tag on the transmission reads as follows:
D9ZRDA1013
RUGD4 AR18
The shifter does not mount directly in the top of the main tailhousing, but rather on a "leg" on the driver side of the transmission. Sort of like a foreign built transmission on some 70s-80s cars. I will try to get some pictures to send to those who might be willing to take a stab at identification of the transmission. ( I can send pics to an e-mail, if I am unable to post them on the forum.
Thanks in advance,
David.

UseCommonSense.... Thanks for the i.d on the transmission. Now, to figure out where it came from. Can't remember ever having a Mustang that late. Only '87, '88 Turbo Coupe Birds. Might have come from one of them that was parted.
