did every one hear about the ford recall of 2003-04 explorers with 4.0 v6 for transmission problems?

 

I have not heard anything about this recall. Where did you hear about it?

 

It was on the local news here in Norfolk VA, something about transmissions on explorers had a problem with the electronics, they would take a long time to shift into gears. the fix was easy though take it in to the dealership and they would replace the electronics on the tranny!

 

Sound like I see a lot of question about transmission on this site. hope it not the norm
