Default Vulcan 3.0l engine cylinder head torques

Hello,

I needed to replace the head gaskets and now I need to know the torques for the cylinder head bolts.
It is a year 2000 Windstar with the 3.0l motor.

In the Haynes repair manual the torques are specified the following:

Step 1: 59 ft lbs
Step 2: loosen
Step 3: 36
Step 4: 67

Is that all??
In my eyes it is very low... and when I have loosen the old one there was a crackling noise, which sounds to me they must have been very tight!

Is there a Step 5 missing probably? Something like 90° degree turn?

For the 3.8L engine there is a step 5 with 180 degree....

I live in Spain, so normally I deal with the European cars :-) The torque values always come with the new gaskets, but here there is nothing.

Thanks for helping!
