Default 07 f250 4x4 6.0

I have a 07 f250 6.0. was having problems after driving 30 miles truck would start missing and idiling rough. Take to the shop had codes for #1 and #8 injector cylinder unbalance. #3 misfire and p2290. Had them do a hpop leak test and there was a leak on the driver's side. They fixed the leaks put it all back together and fired it up and now saying #1 and #8 are misfiring and now need 2 injectors replaced. It done this once before and I cleared the codes and it sat all day then ran just fine until the hpop leak got bad enough to show up. I don't think the injectors are bad but what else could cause this. He says it just #1 and #8 which he says is strange being on 2 different sides at the same time and only being one on each side. Anybody got any ideas?

How many miles on the truck?

They did a buzz test and cylinder contributed after the work?
No degas coolant tracking,
Injector failures aren’t all that uncommon, more so higher mileage units, or if fuel quality was ever an issue, water, gasoline added , debris etc. can easily take out an injector randomly.

They did do a buzz test after the work and they all passed. They tested the ficm and icp and ipr and all tested good. Checked all harnesses all is good. The truck has 229,000 on it. No fuel issues before hand and mechanic said fuel pressure was on point.

The injectors can fail on the solenoid side, as well as the mechanical end. If it failed a cylinder contribution test after the work, no other codes are present, no indication of degas overpressure, or coolant loss/consumption and with better than 225k if all OE injectors, good chance the injectors are timing out. If so, replace them all.....

Update. Got the truck from the shop yesterday. Walked out truck was still in the bay started it up and didn't miss one bit. Mechanic look d at me like what the hell. Run smooth as hell. He did the pipe stands and dummy plugs. It's missed after the work as it was missing before the work. But after it sat for 3 days it ran just fine. Now injectors either work or they don't. He was gonna charge me 1230 dollars to replace 2 injectors. It don't look like it needed it. It now runs just fine. I asked him now what can cause that. He checked fuel pressure was good ficm and icp sensor and ipr all good.
