Hey heres one for you, 2008 crown victoria p71 model, very intermittently will set codes u0073 and u1900 which i know are communication problems, It will also shut down all the gauges and turn on all warning lights along with dashes in odometer. I have been dealing with this problem ongoing for about 8 months now. I have replaced the instrument cluster and the abs module, checked all bulkhead connectors and any other connectors that i could find for bad connections. I am an ase master tech with over 30 years experience in this industry, I manage a fleet of over 40 police vehicles and have not run across this problem with any of them. Please any help would be appreciated.

 

I know it sounds stupid, but check the coil boots for one leaking spark to the head. We had a bad run for about 3 years with this happening. The spark would cause havoc with the PCM and have all kinds of problems. BTW, I managed a fleet of over 800 Police vehicles. Just retired. Good luck.
