I recently purchased a 1972 LTD convertible. It has a 460 in it but came out with a 429. I received the original engine as part of the deal though. The person I purchased it from said there was less than 600 convertibles that were manufactured with the 429. I have done some research and haven't found anything that proves this for a fact. Could someone help please. Thank you.

I also got a letter from Ford from the previous owner

I wouldn't doubt the 600 # as there were only Like 4,234 72 conv LTDs made
