Default 1978 Ford Courier 2.3L

so i picked up this 1978 ford courier with no rust for 350 bucks. i been doing a lot of minor things to get it running. i have rebuilt the carb, replaced ignition coil, starter, battery and wiring with a new ignition switch. i am having a hard time finding a header for it but, my question is. Is it possible to put a 1 barrel carb in replace of the 2 barrel weber i have. its missing some parts and the kit i got wasnt exactly the correct one on rebuild. i really dont want to spend 200 or 300 for a rebuild carb and found some 1 barrel carbs on ebay for about 70 bucks. im curious if this would cause problems or i should just give it a shot
