2000 F250 Super Duty V10
Hi there, this is my 1st time posting in a forum, so hopefully I get this right.
Anyway, I bought a 00 F250 Super Duty with the V10. When I 1st got the truck, it ran great!! Good power, no issues. About a week later the upper radiator hose blew, and soaked the entire engine with antifreeze. I immediately stopped and it never overheated. I fixed the issue, but shortly after, I began to hear a loud noise when driving coming from the engine, and not much further down the road, boom, and then an even louder noise. This was a spark plug that had blown out of the cylinder. After some research, I was informed this is very common with the V10. So, I went and picked up a spark plug repair kit and retapped and Heli-Coiled the spark plug hole and replaced the plug and coil.
My question is this...... the way it ran, after blowing out the spark plug, was loud and with very low "get up" no power. After replacing everything, the truck starts in the morning perfect, idles like it should, and drives and sounds great for about 2-3 min. Then, as soon as it starts to warm up, it runs like crap. Just like it did with the spark plug blown out. No power, sputters really bad, and fuel consumption is ridiculous, as well as oil. When trying to accelerate, it will jump way down into a very low gear, with the RPM's almost maxed out, but still no "go" or power.
Some things I've replaced already are the vacumm lines coming straight from the front of the intake, the PCV valve, the Mass Air Flow sensor, and checked for any additional vacuum leaks which i found none. I don't know what to start with next.
Thank you so much in advance for any and all input and help.
