I have a 2002 Taurus and yesterday the emission light came on. It sat all day after driving around town and when I went to move it in the garage, all hell broke loose! I pulled in my spot, park and shut off. As I got out I hear something "pouring" on the floor. I looked and all the transmission fluid was flowing out. Would the light that came on have anything to do with this??? That was the only warning light that came on and was the first time.
Also, does this mean I need a new trans? It ran fine always. eeesh!!!

 

well, it kinda sounds expensive, at least. Where's the hole in the trans?

 

It appears to have fluid all around the seal of the case but don't know if it did that from it initially pouring all over. When I took the dip stick out after it happened, the fluid was all the way to the top and dripped all over too. UGH! the dealership did a transmission flush a few mos ago and am afraid something got blocked (???)
