Default 2009 front power windows

Need Advice. My 2009 Ford Expedition (Eddie B) both the front driver & passenger windows are not working. I suspect the lower cables have snapped. Can the cables be replaced, or will the whole window framework need replacing?

If it is the regulator, the entire regulator needs replaced as a unit. Can you hear the motor run when you press the up or down buttons? If not, check the motors first. If you can hear the motor run and nothing happening, the regulator is bad.

I removed the door panels and see the lower cable snapped (rusted). Motor is fine.

If the cable is snapped, you need a new regulator. You can reuse the motor.
