Does anyone know if I can lock my doors when I put my new 2011 Ford Explorer into gear or do I have to attain a certain speed first. To me it would be safer if I shifted into gear instead of attaining a certain speed. I did not see anything in the owner's manual to indicate I could change this. My doors only lock when I reach a certain speed (12mph I think). My doors would automatically lock on my Ford van when shifted into a gear. Love this feature on my van and missing it on my explorer.

 

Ask the dealer where you purchased it. They have all the tools necessary to change the systems.
