my truck decided one day to not not start. the battery is good the starter aswell is good. enginge cranks but wont fire. doesnt seem to be getting a spark at all. put a ignition coil in and still no spark. did a spark check with a spark plug directly from coil and no spark. any one have any ideas as to what might be wrong????

 

sounds like ignition control modual or the pick up coil (trigger) in the distributer before you start swaping parts remember most parts stores will not let you return electrical parts some parts stores will test these for free. If you could find the parts on another truck that you could barrow to test would be nice Or the old standby the local salvage yard if you are a gambler.
