I have seen several posts regarding faulty door ajar alarm. Well I've been having this problem for some time. I took it to 3 dealerships. They all stated the same thing. This is common with this car n the part that they replace it with doesn't guarantee it will not reoccur. The fix is over 400.00! The door has opened twice on it's own. This is a safety issue that ford does not believe that should be recalled. I have replaced 2 batteries due to door alarm n interior lights staying on. I have seen on several other sites there are thousands of posting regarding this problem. When calling Ford, I was called back by a supervisor that listened to my complaint. He stated as "scripted" your warranty has expired and this is no longer our problem. You will have to pay to fix this.
I decided to pursue this matter when I was called by an attorney that is concerned about this ongoing issue with the safety of car door opening n door ajar fault light. Owners know this is an issue. Ford corporate knows this is a faulty part regarding safety. Why is this still a problem. Why are they not fixing it?
