I took my Escape in for recall servicing to fix the possible problem with the engine not shutting off when pressing the "Engine Start/Stop" button (a problem that , incidentally, never did surface). The dealer said they performed the recall repair but now my remote start does't work. Anyone else have this problem after the recall servicing? Is this something I can remedy on my own thru "Settings",etc. Thanks

If it is a factory remote start , they can correct that with the factory scan tool.
If it is an aftermarket add on , the cars electronics don't tolerate add ons very well.

 

Thanks. Dealer is correcting it. You would've thought Ford tested their recall remedy procedure BEFORE issuing the recall. Guess we don't live in a perfect world.
