Default 2016 Ford F150 APIM Failure-

I am new to this Forum and wanted to post this for all other members to see. For several months I have been having issues with my Sync 3 and Navigation in my 2016 F-150. It freezes, locks up, blue screen, extremely slow responses to pushing buttons, etc. I called Ford and spoke to someone on their Sync technical hotline who stated that I should update the software which I then did. That did nothing to resolve my issues. I have done the hard resets and all that jazz. Fast forward another month and the issues have become more prolific. I finally took my car in to the dealer who said that it had a code that there was an APIM Failure and that it would be $1300 to fix. Mind you I had an Explorer previous to this truck which had MyFord Touch and that was a disaster as well. At 120k miles Ford finally replaced it for free. However, this time around the dealer told me it was out of warranty with 75k miles on it. The truck is only 2 years old and I find it absurd that Ford can't have a system in place that cannot last 2 years! The dealer said that I need to talk to Ford directly so I called Ford. They, in turn, told me that I need to work it out with the dealer who wants nothing to do with this. Let this serve as a warning to potential Ford owners....I would stay as far away as possible from a Ford product with Sync. I have had three Ford products recently, this F-150, an Explorer and a Roush Mustang (which I currently still own). I will never by a Ford product again. I can't wait for the Class Action Lawsuit on this one because I can't jump aboard that thing quick enough!
