2020 ford fusion low antifreeze and white smoke!
I have a 2020 ford fusion 1.5L seems to smoke after it sits for awhile usually a cold start. The smoke appears to be white. Am I looking at a head gasket or something more serious? The car has 40,000 miles. Is this a common problem with that motor?
Thanks for the advice!
Thanks for the advice!
We had issues from 2016(I think) to 2019 overheating, I forget the tsb number but we replace the shortblock, I have not seen any 2020 with that same issue yet. You are still under power train warranty so I would take it to your dealer and have them deal with it.
so if it isn't the short block and let's just say it's a head gasket.... would that be covered under warranty as well? I just don't see how it could be a head gasket I have never over heated it or beat it just seems weird 40,000 to have a problem like this already
Without looking at it its impossible to tell you whats wrong. I was saying we have issues with that engine, though I thought they fixed it by 2020. Yes its still under powertrain warranty for engine/trans issues. Weird AC smell is not descriptive enough to provide any advice.
