Default 249 vs 351 cleveland

Big debate going on in this house. I want them to shut up and I am looking for help! A 1966 Mustang was just purchased to work on and restore. It has a perfectly good 351 in it. There is a debate saying that a 249 would be preferrable. What do you all think?? Thanks for any insight you can give me!!

If it is a 1966, I would prefer to install a 289 that was standard V8 for that year.

Why change what works ? Do you care that its not original ? If not dress up the 351 and go for it..

keep the big block it will last alot longer and go a ton faster than any 249 plus you don't have to change any wires for it to work
