hello Im new to the forum from Michigan and I got some questions about
a motor that I've got. Mainly I'd like to know what it's worth.
The following is a list of things that I know about it.

Block Code C8AE-A I measured the bore it's 4.230
Head Code C8AE-J 2.08 Intake 1.65 Exhaust 73-76cc w/thermax
Connecting Rod Code C6AE-C 13/32 nut on rod cap
Piston Code C6AE-6110 FoMoCo
Distributor Code ( Autolite ) C7OF-12127-F 7A5
Crankshaft Code C8AE-B
Cast into the back of the block above the cam journal is 66 427, it also has 427 cast into the lifter galley. It has screw in freezeplugs 1'' Hex
DIF 21 (Detroit Iron Foundry) cast into block below oil filter mount
I found the #7A21 on the block, I think it's a casting or production#
H/P marked on back of block in yellow grease pencil
The Dist. Code # shows that this motor came out of a 1968 Mercury
Cougar, with a single 4V and a 4spd trans. I've got the origonal bellhousing
and intake, but not the carburator. It's a 4 bolt main and it ran when I got
it. There is a W cast on it , and W is the code for Cougar.
