Default 93 ford explorer 4x4

new to the forum my name it thomas baker, im 16 and i drive a 93 ford explorer 2 dr eddie bauer 4x4, recently i was driving up a hill and all the way up i was loosing power so at the top i start to pull over and the car truned itself off, i popped the hood and it was smoking, there was smoke coming from where u put the oil in and around the air intake, i then drove it home, i turned it on later that nite just to look at it and i noticed looking at the tail pipe that it was puttering, when its on the rpms are sitting lower than they ever have, the starter is going pretty slow, and sometimes when u put it in gear it dies. i tried to drive it to school the next day and it died about a mile away from my house, after school i drove it home and there it sits. i have no idea what to do

I like the look of the XC90 but I also heard its based on the Ford Explorer chassis. Given the known problems with the Explorer flipping over in various situations, Im a bit worried abou the XC90 if it is indeed based on the Ford chassis... Anyone know?

I would like to know if there is something different about this particular model. I cant find the emblems anywhere and I havent been able to find another one like it. Does anyone have any information? Again it is a 1972 Ford F100 Explorer.
