What's goin' on?

New to the Ford family and VERY new to working on vehicles in any way/shape or form.

1995 F250 XLT with a 7.3L Turbo Diesel-extended cab(wish it was a crew!) Currently sitting just under 400K miles

ISO any info pertaining to tools you suggest I purchase now that will make life a hell of a lot easier for me down the road as well as books or websites to get ahold of to learn as much as I can about how my truck works and how to diagnose issues that I am sure will arise. Also looking for ideas of what to start inspecting for parts that may need to be replaced or upgrades y'all would suggest to keep this truck running well past 500K.

Also looking to, in the near future if possible, get ahold of a 60's mustang and wondering what tips anyone has about what to look for when shopping around.

Welcome to the site..

How does the truck run? Shift? Any concerns, leaks etc. or drivability issues? Was there any service or repairs history for the truck?

Tools will come if the job or tasks dictate ;-) As far as technical information, diagrams, for specific jobs you'd like to tackle on for the new rig, just post/help request what your doing and we should be able to supply some materials.

What level or options in/of Mustang are you looking in to?

Seems to have been taken care of very well. Had to replace the alternator and one battery and am about to attempt to tackle replacing all ball joints, front brakes and tie rods and maybe the wheel bearings if they need it. wheel bearings because of a humming that started so I'm trying to figure that out.

As for the mustang. I'm in love with the 65-67's that I have been seeing around here, just not sure what all issues to expect when I finally get ahold of one haha.
