Another new person 04 EB
Hello all,
New to any type of forums. I love my 2004 EBExplorer 34,000 miles but trying to prevent a problem with the transmission before it starts. I will be doinga trans flush & fill pretty soon. Any info, links other sites with info.,etc. would be greatly appreciated. Flush, noflush, fluid and filter only ? Thanks , Mike

Welcome, fireray! This is a great site with lots of helpful and knowledgeable folks. Enjoy!
I say..........locate and use a reputable transmission shop. I believe it makes sense to have them run a diagnostic check for computer codes with a scanner ($50?) Change the fluid and filter. Most good shops will run the flush at the same time. I also like to toss in some LUBEGARD fluid supplement for added insurance. However, I have a 2003 F-250 Superduty diesel, with most of the miles towing a 12,000 pound fifth-wheel RV, so I put a little more strain on mine than yours would likely be getting.
Here's the LUBEGARD site, if you want some information. www.lubegard.com
