Smile Dad of 1993 F150

Being a father of a 150 owner, sometimes I have to work on it. Have to get an ignition switch changed without the old switches key. Trying to find the best way to do it. But like the 150, and tell son not to ever sell it to someone else. Sell it to me.

Welcome to the site..

Your wanting to change out the old ignition 'lockset' because you don't have the keys?

If so, an option is to pull the door lock and take it to a locksmith and have a key made. Ford also sells a 'keyable' lock set you can set up to the OE key profile if its an issue with just the stock lock set. That way you still have 'alike' keys. If no options, you can drill out the key lockset so you can rotate the lock to release the holding pin..

The ignition switch itself doesn't require keys to replace.
