I'm having an occasional problem with the daytime running light on my 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis LS.
Sometimes when I turn off the engine, the daytime running lights stay on and I have to disconnect the battery negative cable.
Usually, after disconnecting the cable several times, the problem stops, sometimes for several weeks.
A friend mentioned that he had heard that the problem could be related to the keyless entry pad on the driver's door, but I'm hoping that a member of the Ford Forum might have an answer.

The issue with your daytime running lights staying on after you turn off the engine could be related to a malfunctioning relay or wiring problem.
