Unhappy electrical problems...

Good evening fellow Ford owners. I have a 2007 Ford 500 SEL. It has not given me any difficulties since I bought it new..in early 08'. Here is the problem. It only has 93,000 kilometers on it. The dashboard warning came on last week..."check electrical charging system". I did, it needed a new battery and altenator. Car is charging to the Ford specs now. Problem....the computer will not take the "check electrical charging system" off the dashboard now. I can't read the odometer now. The car only has 93,000 klicks on it.
At 92.00 bucks an hour, the car goes back to the dealership tomorrow morning. Any ideas on what to tell the mechanic? He has had some trouble trying to figure out what's wrong.

Sincerely; Donny
