I added stock Ford helper leaf springs to my '77 F100 to increase load capacity and decrease chances of single leaf drop-out. The first time I cracked a main leaf I made sure next time I'd have a back-up system. I guess I shouldn't have been stomping the gas and pulling the front end off the ground though.
