ford window
Welcome to the site..
First,, do you have power or manual windows?
The first thing is to remove the door trim panel..
1. If power windows,, pry/lift up on the front of the master window switch panel and slide it forward so the rear will unclip (don't pry up on the rear area) Unclip the connectors.
If manual windows,, on the 'large end' of the window crank, pry loose the cover and rotate it to expose the torx screw. Remove the screw. Next, remove the pad cover in the same manner as power window switch assy. at the front of the arm rest (power windows have switches, manual do not, only a pad)
2. The black cover at the front/top of the door panel needs to come off. Just grab it a pull straight out/off.
3. Next, on the red door reflector,, you'll see a small notch in the reflector. Insert a small screw driver and 'gently' pry it just far enough for the release. They break easy, so go gentle.
4.Behind the red reflector and in the window switch/pad area there are attaching screws. Remove them and 'slide' the panel upwards. DO NOT pull outwards or you may break the locating legs..
5. With the door trim and upper black cover removed, unbolt the outside mirrror. If electric, unplug the connector.
6.Remove the inside and outside black weather strips at the top of door (where your arm would rest) . They just press on to the door lip..
7. Remove the interior weather guard sheeting. Speaker if needed as well.
8. You'll need to temp install the crank or window switch to raise/lower the glass to expose the attaching bolts.. Loosen the glass runner bolt.
9. Slide the glass channel forward to clear, and tip the glass upwards and pull it from the area/slot where the weather strips attach..
