My uncle who has passed away Lived in Vancouver BC,He had a very nice Ford Explorer and when we went on holiday over there we had many a nice drive out around BC in it.
Recently I got to thinking about the car and wondered could I trace the present owner and try to purchase from the said owner with the view of shipping it back to England.Anyway I have the year the make the model and the VIN number.Is there anyway I can trace the present owner,, where it may be by the VIN number.

Welcome to the site..

Not sure about BC, but here you can go to DMV and pay a fee and get the owner on record info. Not sure if it applies to all states but in CA reasonably easy..

tried the canadian DMV they won't release private information.I just wanted to try and buy the vehicle and ship it back to England

 

Run a lien search on serial number....you will get info....5 bucks

There are thousands of Ford Explorers out there, because this one was my uncles it is special.We have lots of lovely holiday memories driving around BC.It is an old girl it is a 1994 Explorer he bought it new from Browns Ford marine drive Vancouver(They gave me the Vin number)they haven't seen it since 2015 he owned it until 2015.According to Carfax another owner has it now.I would have liked it to be our summer driver.parked up in our garage over the winters.I will keep you informed how I get on.

 

Dues the CarFax show where the present owner had any maint or anything performed on it? If so, you may be able to check with that source for a contact name/number.

 

It dosnt show where the present owner has had it maintained..It does show that it became used inventory on 04/07/2015 and that a new owner 04/11/2015
