both. i got a buddy that has some highboy springs he just has to get them off the truck, and then i was gonna put 2 inch blocks in the front ( i know bad for steering, but this is gonna be a mud only truck) and then put some blocks in the back to get alittle bit more. and i was gonna make my own body lift out of some 3 inch around pipe and about 4 inches tall, but i gotta find tires first so i know exactly how high i need to go.
lift kits are way way too expensive to buy. so i was thinking about dropping down the shackles and putting reinforced tube stock welded to the frame and then bolting the mounts to that, but then i have to deal with too much geometery to get my driveshaft angles right.

right now my price range is about zero dollars. im trying to keep a very very low budget on this becasue i know tires are gonna kill me even if they are used. im just trying to see if maybe somebody has an idea that i havent thought of yet. or maybe even some used parts or something along that line.

Do not drop shackles in front,they like to stab the ground on steep trenches.after all its a mud bogger.you can block both front and rear,although its not the best way to go.stesses thesprings and u bolts to much.is this going to be driven on the road?you do have options. ifyou go with blocks make sure to shim the front axle,this will roll the front axle enough to keep your caster close and will also take some strain off the front drive line.also consider lowering transfer case about 1 inch with some solid spacers between frame and mount.thiswill help make muddin alot of fun.good luck.
