i gotta 1999 Ford Ranger.. 4.0 V6 Auto trans. im having a problem with my truck wanting to stall on me. ill be driving and when i go to stop at a light i get a loud hum (which sounds like its comin from my air filter) then my rpms will drop down and it will wanna stall out if i dont give it some gas. i was thinkin maybe my air filter had something to do with it so i changed that but it made no difference. Andybody have any ideas thatd be great! thanks!!

 

My friends 98 f250 had the same problem it turns out it was the transmission from plowin it through a saltwater lake at the beach.
